Bob Nersesian
Bob Nersesian is a Las Vegas attorney who specializes in representing gamblers whose rights have been violated by the casinos. Needless to say, he is regarded as a hero by card counters and other advantage players. He is the only attorney in the Blackjack Hall of Fame and the only Hall of Famer who never played the game at any serious level and/or wrote about how to play the game.
Nersesian made a name for himself in 2005 when he represented Blackjack Hall of Famer, James Grosjean, in lawsuits against both Caesars and the Imperial Palace Casino, as well as the Griffin Detective Agency. Grosjean was detained and back-roomed, handcuffed, arrested and otherwise mistreated because he was able to beat the table games in these casinos.
Subsequently, Nersesian wrote a book, Beat the Players: Casinos, Cops and the Game Inside the Game (2006) and followed that book ten years later with The Law for Gamblers (2016), both now considered must reading for serious players who want to know what they’re up against when they take on the casinos. He covers in depth how players can avoid problems and protect themselves by knowing their rights and what they should say and do when any kind of a problem arises. Any advantage player who’s betting serious amounts of money in casinos should read this book for their own health and well-being.
